Frequently Asked Questions

Customization & Design

Q: Is simulator included?

A: It depends on the configuration. The Complete Package includes the Trackman iO simulator system and the standard electronics package (typically a 4K projector and i9 desktop). Simulator-Ready includes the screen, hitting mat, turf, impact panels and prewired electrical, and is ready for your own launch monitor (Trackman, Uneekor, Foresight, Garmin and more).

Q. Can I remove the deck or overhang?

A: Yes. We can remove the deck or overhang; however, this does not change the price of the shed. If a client needs a smaller footprint, this is a great option.

Q: Can I customize the exterior of the shed?

A: We offer three standard colors (white, black, and gold). We also offer cedar that can be stained to your preference. Alternatively, we can ship the shed without siding so it can be finished by a local contractor. (Note: Golfsheds does not install custom siding.)

Q: Can I change the exterior color?

A: Yes, custom colors are available for an additional fee.

Q: Can I change the dimensions of the units?

A: We generally avoid dimensional changes. We can do height adjustments if necessary. We can raise the ceiling by about a foot to accommodate taller individuals (6'7" and up), which incurs an additional cost of approximately $10,000.

Q: Can I remove the glass on the sides?

A: Yes. The glass panels can be swapped out in favor of solid walls.

Q: Can I change where the door is placed?

A: Yes, we can make adjustments to the door placement on the unit.

Q: Can you add a bathroom?

A: No. We do not add plumbing to our units.

Q: Can a rooftop deck be added later?

A: Yes. We would need to know upfront so we can reinforce the beams during manufacturing to prepare for the future addition.

Q: Can you attach the shed to my home?

A: No. We can place the shed as close as possible to your home, and a local contractor can attach it, but Golfsheds does not perform the attachment.

Specifications & Features

Q: What are the electrical requirements (total electrical load)?

A: The shed requires approximately 60 amps of power, which includes the air conditioning.

Q: Does the unit have air conditioning?

A: Yes. A 1-ton mini-split (rated for 500-750 sq. ft.) comes standard in all of our units.

Q: How much do the models weigh?

A:

  • XLE: 8,500 lbs

  • Platinum: 8,500 lbs per piece (17,000 lbs total)

  • Platinum+: 9,500 lbs per piece (19,000 lbs total)

  • Captain: 10,000 lbs per piece (20,000 lbs total)

Q: What is the wind rating?

A: The siding is rated to withstand winds up to 100 MPH.

Q: What is your snow load?

A: The standard snow load is 100 psf. It can be engineered to a higher specification for areas that require it.

Q: How does water run off the roof?

A: The roof is slightly pitched, allowing water to run off the sides of the unit.

Q: Do you have an electronic keypad door handle or remote unlocking options?

A: Not currently, but we are actively working on adding these features.

Delivery, Installation & Moving

Q: Can you ship just the shell and allow me to finish out the unit however I would like?

A: Yes.

Q: Do you install in Canada?

A: Yes. There are additional shipping and tariff charges associated with Canadian deliveries, typically ranging from $30,000 to $35,000.

Q: How big is the trailer it comes in on?

A: The trailer is 50 feet long.

Q: How big is the crane needed for installation?

A: It depends on the distance the crane arm needs to reach to place the shed. A longer reach requires a larger crane.

Q: Can I use a pre-existing cement pad?

A: Potentially. The pad must be completely flat and level to avoid complications. Often, cement is graded or sloped for runoff, so as long as it is completely flat, it should not be an issue.

Q: Does the shed need to be attached to the foundation?

A: This depends on the local municipality. Some areas require the shed to be fixed to the pad, but typically we do not attach it.

Q: How do we tie into the electrical?

A: The shed features a panel on the back. Your onsite electrician can decide whether to tie directly into the panel or run a separate box and connect to the panel via conduit.

Q: Can the shed be moved if I move to a new home?

A: In theory, yes. While we haven’t done it yet, a crane could lift the shed back onto a truck for transport to your next home.

Simulator & Electronics

Q: What is the distance from the hitting mat to the screen?

A: Our default is 9 feet, but we can place it wherever the customer prefers. The typical range is 8.5 to 10 feet.

Q: Can I provide the electronics myself?

A: Yes. Please share your equipment's model details with our team upfront so we can confirm usability and compatibility.

Financials & Warranty

Q: What is your warranty?

A: We provide a 10-year structural warranty and a 2-year general warranty.

Q: How do I pay for the structure?

A: Reserve with a $10,000 deposit at checkout, which goes toward the 1st invoice.

  • 1st invoice: 50% of the Golfshed base price (due before the project is added to the schedule)
  • Next: 25% of the Golfshed base price (due before delivery)
  • Final: 25% of the Golfshed base price (due on the day installation is complete)

The Complete Package adds one more invoice: 100% of electronics costs, due before electronics are purchased.
